About joe legere PT

30+ Years of Experience to Help You

I’m proud to say that I have been providing high level manual physical therapy services to orthopedic patients for three decades.  I take great pride in being an integral part of somebody’s return to their work, favorite sport, hobby or daily activities, while giving them the tools and education to succeed in the future.

I enjoy using strategies like reciprocal inhibition techniques, myofascial trigger point technique, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), joint mobilization, Kinesiotaping technique, strain-counter strain, cupping technique, and direct myofascial release as tools to assist clients in regaining musculoskeletal balance. I customize functional stretching and strengthening home programs into each of my treatment plans to allow the individual to maintain and advance their progress after treatment concludes.

I really enjoy working with ergonomically manifested postural/positional sprains and strains, which are an enormous source of chronic pain.

I am a native of Windham, Maine and a graduate of the University of New England, where I earned my Physical Therapy degree in 1992. When I’m not working, I am an outdoor enthusiast and a conservationist. I enjoy hiking, camping, hunting, especially with archery gear, and all forms of fishing. I live in Falmouth and love spending time with my wife, Vicki, our daughters Blair and Grace, and friends.
