I am an out-of network provider. I have no contractual relationships with any insurance carriers. I accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA). It is possible for you to be partially or fully reimbursed for physical therapy treatment.
Call your insurer and inquire what your out-of-network physical therapy benefits are. I will provide you with what is required for reimbursement. You may request a “Superbill”, after your visit, which will contain what is needed for reimbursement. Submit the Superbill, payment receipt and insurance claim submission to your insurance company.
Once you've scheduled, fill out a new client information sheet, and email it back to me or bring it with you to your first appointment. You will receive an initial evaluation, which will last for one hour, one-on-one. We will thoroughly discuss what ailment has brought you to the clinic, then discuss your goals for recovery to reach your previous level of function. A comprehensive evaluation of your injury/restriction/weakness/muscle imbalance/neurological deficits will be assessed. This will assist us in determining our direction of treatment.
Manual physical therapy is a hands-on approach, in which I use soft tissue mobilization and joint mobilization techniques for musculoskeletal injuries and dysfunction. It is designed to increase mobility and reduce pain, with the ultimate goal of increasing the overall wellness of the individual. There are several instruments (tools) which can be used during the aforementioned techniques. I enjoy educating my clients with soft tissue self mobilization strategies, so they are able to effectively treat themselves moving forward.
Each individual may require a different treatment model depending on their needs. The majority of my treatment sessions are manually based and hands-on. I will provide each client with a progressive home program to help expedite the recovery process. Levels of exercise intensity will be determined on an individual basis.
Comfortable, loose fitting clothing is fine. Shorts, sweatpants, yoga pants, tee shirts, tank tops are all good! Of course, there is a changing room available if needed prior to or after a visit.
No. The state of Maine allows Direct Access for consumers, allowing them to seek physical therapy services without referral. I work closely with client providers whenever necessary to optimize a positive outcome.
